Algarrobo Pueblo is a pretty white village located 37 kilometres from Malaga, in the Axarquia region of Andalucia. It is 4 kilometres from the Mediterranean Costa del Sol at an altitude of 85 metres. The village retains a Moorish structure with attractive narrow streets bedecked with flowers, plants and splendid panoramic views. The Rio Algarrobo meanders through the village where horses are often found grazing on the banks. The parish church of Santa Ana dates from 1505 although the current building was built in the 17th century. There is a large, attractive, tropical park in the village next to the large village swimming pool and tennis courts.
